Beech Creek’s Visitor Center
The Visitor Center currently serves as the primary place to provide general information to visitors about the attractions and programs offered at BEECH CREEK GARDENS. The Center includes educational displays, an outdoor, multi-tiered Wildlife Observation Deck, the Nature Store gift shop, a Resource Library, the Community Room meeting room, storage, kitchen and office facilities. The main floor of the Visitor Center contains the various educational exhibits, the Nature Store, the Resource Library. The reception desk is attended by a staff member or volunteer during the posted hours of operation. This is where visitors can purchase entry tickets to Beech Creek attractions such as the Butterfly House, gift items from the Nature Store, or a membership.
Providing a resource library for the public and especially for our students is an important way to enhance our educational programs as well as offer a place for the general public to research horticultural, environmental and gardening topics.
The Visitor Center provides a dedicated area for the administrative offices of BEECH CREEK GARDENS. This area is used to administer our programs, develop educational curricula and presentations, and maintain our records.
The Hoover Foundation of North Canton granted us the funds needed to renovate the Visitor Center. Prior to our renovation, the structure functioned as the primary home/residence of the previous landowner.
