The Resource Library in the Visitor Center

The Resource Library at Beech Creek has books on all sorts of topics.    From how-to’s on designing gardens of all kinds to making your own containers for your decks to companion plantings for your organic vegetable gardens to kid’s books with the life cycle of the butterfly, the Resource Library has related books and publications and continues to add to the collection.  We can’t thank friends and members enough who have helped us build this collection and continue to do so.

That said, we do have a wish list of books and journals.  Many of the books are older, timeless books, classics in their fields.    Do you have a favorite gardening or wildlife book that you refer to over and over again?  How about donating a copy to the Resource Library?  Or perhaps a gift subscription to one of the journals listed below for all to share?    Donors of a new book or journal subscription will receive a copy of Native Plants of Ohio (freshly reprinted and now available for sale).  A book plate will be placed in the book to recognize your gift.

To view the books our Resource Center already has in its collection from your home, go to http://www.librarything.com/catalog/BeechCreek and “Search this Library” using an author’s name or title or subject area.  Later this year, members will be able to borrow books from our collection as a perk of membership.
