Winter Critter Exploration
Have you ever wondered where a frog or a turtle goes in the winter? What about a skunk, opossum, or butterfly?
You can uncover nature's winter secrets with our Exploration Back Pack from the visitor center. In it are supplies you'll need as you hike through the trails and learn about what Ohio animals do in winter. You won't believe how some of our critters brave the cold.
Shhhhhh! Critters are curled up for the winter! Did you know many animals, including insects, reptiles, and mammals, find a hiding place to curl up and wait for spring? But did you know hibernation is not sleeping - it is so much more. When you visit Cool Adventures, stop at our “den.” Crawl in, look around and find out what hibernation is all about.
