Raptor Hallow's Mission

To protect the earth’s biodiversity, and to secure the future of all bird of prey species in their natural habitats. We work to achieve our mission through community engagement, education, and conservation. As humans, we are the only species with the ability to save our planet.

NON-PROFIT
PROTECTING WILDLIFE

Raptor Hallow Sanctuary is a non-profit organization that provides refuge for birds of prey, reptiles, mammals, and other birds that are unable to be released back into the wild, so instead they help educate the public as animal ambassadors.

HISTORY & MISSION

Raptor Hallow Sanctuary was founded by Joshua Kuszmaul in 2016 with a mission of providing wildlife encounters for all ages and educating about habitat preservation & wildlife conservation.

LOCATION

Raptor Hallow Sanctuary previously operated out of Salem, Ohio before moving their operations & animal enclosures to an area on-site at Beech Creek Gardens in Alliance, Ohio.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Raptor Hallow Sanctuary offers their own educational programs on-site at Beech Creek Gardens and also offers off-site programs. At times, Raptor Hallow Sanctuary will collaborate with Beech Creek Gardens for joint educational programming.

NEW ATTRACTION & COLLABORATION

"Wild Wonders" is a new, permanent learning & attraction area at Beech Creek Gardens that features the wildlife from Raptor Hallow Sanctuary in a collaboration between our two independent non-profit organizations.

LOCATION

The animal enclosures are located along the new "Wild Wonders Trail", situated just beyond the entrance of the Oakview Hiking Trail.

HOURS & ADMISSION

Access to the Raptor Hallow Sanctuary Wild Wonders attraction is included with general admission to Beech Creek Gardens. The attraction is only accessible to visitors during Beech Creek Gardens' open hours. Members do not have access to the attraction after-hours.

TWO INDEPENDENT NON-PROFITS

Although located on-site at Beech Creek Gardens, Raptor Hallow Sanctuary continues to operate as their own independent non-profit, so feel free to provide separate donations to both Raptor Hallow Sanctuary and Beech Creek Gardens. There are also different volunteer opportunities offered at each organization.

The bird sanctuary is tucked back on the grounds past the Nature Playgrounds. Depending on the weather and season you can hear the calls of the birds all the way to the Visitor Center.
