Critter Day 
June 7/8

Discover all the creatures that call Beech Creek home and even some that don’t!

 

We’ll explore Raptor Hallow Sanctuary, learn all about endangered species, and discover different ways we can help our wildlife friends.

Dandelions and Honeybees
June 14/15

Honeybees are one of the most important insects in our ecosystem, and they rely on dandelions as one of the first sources of food in the spring. Learn all about their symbiotic relationship and
create your very own dandelion to see what other fun critters stop by!

 Kites, Parachutes, and Rockets
June 21/22

Kids can decorate and fly their own kites and parachutes. They will also get to put their skills to the test with a competition at the end of the day!

Adventure Camp Olympics 
June 28/29

Get ready for some competitive fun! Work together with your teammates and compete one-on-one with other campers in a variety of challenge courses. Make sure to bring extra water, we’ll be running around all day!

Water Days - Micros and Macros
July 5/6 and July 12/13

Yep - our favorite day is back, but this time split into two weeks for twice the fun! Kids will be in the creek searching for crayfish and other aquatic life both big and small. Plan to get wet!

H2O Fun Day
July 19/20

Water is necessary for all living things - including you and me! We’ll be learning all about the water cycle, making boats to float down the creek, and conducting different water experiments. Plan to get wet!

Rocks & Soil
July 26/27

Learn all about the geology of Ohio! We will go on a hike and take samples of the different soils around Beech Creek. Campers will also get to make sculptures out of clay and crack their very
own geode!

Insects & Habitats - Get Buggy!
August 2/3

It’s our day to visit the Butterfly House and Caterpillar Nursery. Then we will hike up to the pollinator field and see what insects we can capture for mounting and study.

Cancellation Policy:
Please contact us ASAP if your child will be unable to attend camp. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing at least 14 days prior to the scheduled camp date to receive a refund. You will be refunded the camp fee minus a $20 processing fee. No refunds will be issued with less than 14 business days notice. Beech Creek Gardens will only cancel a camp due to severe weather warnings and extremely high winds.

Bring: Healthy lunch, water bottle, pump or lotion insect repellent (recommendations), and backpack (label all items with camper's name).

Clothing: We recommend campers wear comfortable, rugged clothes & shoes that can get muddy, or grass & dirt stained. Dress for the weather (layers are best), bring extra socks, and wear hiking boots or shoes. On water days, a change of clothing is recommended for the afternoon.

A typical day at camp goes something like this...

  • Welcome, introductions, news and important info, prep to head out on the adventure

  • Adventure time 

  • Lunch (spring break camp & summer camp)

  • Outdoor games / outdoor activity

  • Art, craft or construction (build something) activity

  • Snack time

  • Free time at Nature Playce

  • Head for home
