Earth Day
Volunteer Event

Volunteer & Celebrate!

Admission to the party is free for volunteers.

Any guests who are attending only the Earth Day Party can donate one container of dried beans per person or a minimum of $1 per person, with higher donations deeply appreciated.

We're looking for enthusiastic community members to volunteer and help us celebrate and preserve our planet's natural beauty. Come lend a hand and be a part of our efforts to make a positive impact on the environment!

What to expect

  • Volunteer opportunities for all ages

  • Projects may include trail maintenance, garden cleanup, native garden conservation, and more

  • Meet at the Visitor Center

  • Dress for the weather

  • Bring work gloves

  • Scout troops and groups are welcome to participate, but please let us know that you are coming

Celebration/Activities: 2-4pm

We're throwing a massive birthday bash for our beautiful planet, complete with exciting activities, delicious food and drinks, birthday cupcakes, raffle baskets, and so much more. Let's celebrate together and show our love and appreciation for Mother Earth!

Celebration Activities
Wildflower Seed Bombs

  • Make & take with recycled paper that you can take home and plant. 

Nature Bingo/Party Favors

  • All kids will have the opportunity to take a nature bingo/scavenger hunt card and walk the grounds. Once this is completed, they will receive a “party favor” as a prize. 

Piñata

  • Help us break open an Earth-shaped piñata made from recycled materials.

  • 3PM in the Pavilion

  • One piñata for ages 3-6 and one for ages 7-11

Animal Encounters

  • Enjoy & experience wildlife encounters presented by Raptor Hallow Sanctuary.

Rock Paint Station  

  • Be creative, paint rocks to take home or place them in our new rock garden. 

Tattoo Booth 

  • Have fun decorating yourself with our earth-friendly temporary tattoos. 

Music/cupcakes/drinks  

  • We will have cupcakes, water/lemonade, and more!

Raffle Baskets  

  • Take a chance at winning one of our gift baskets & help support our environment. 

Registration is not required, but is always appreciated.

Unable to join us to volunteer? You can still help by making an Earth Day donation to Beech Creek Gardens. Donors are as important as ever to help keep our environment intact and healthy for all to visit, explore, and enjoy. Together we can do our part to restore and care for the places where we live, work, and play for this and future generations.
