A Message from our Volunteer Coordinator
Welcome to Beech Creek Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve. We’re so glad you’re here, we have so many opportunities for you to share your time with us.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and allow us to offer vital programming and events to our members and guests. We want every visitor to enjoy their time at the Gardens, soaking in the beauty that surrounds them, enjoying the diversity of plants and animals that inhabit our nature preserve.

Events
Volunteer Information Session
April 14th, 2024 at 2pm
Want to volunteer, but not sure where to start? Come find out about all of the unique ways you can volunteer at Beech Creek Garden & Nature Preserve. Whether you want to get your hands dirty in the gardens or spend your time with the butterflies, this session is for you. We will begin at 2pm at the Water Sciences building down by the creek. We look forward to seeing both our current volunteers and those wanting to learn more.
School Field Trip Guide / Volunteer
End of April - Beginning of June
Support our Education Department by assisting with school field trips. Choose the days that work best for you!
Butterfly House Flight Attendant
Daily shifts June - September
Beginning June 5th greet our visitors & guests, show them points of interest in the Butterfly House and Caterpillar Nursery and answer questions. Knowledge of butterflies is helpful but not necessary.

Earth Day 2024
Sunday, April 21st 2-4pm
Celebrate Earth Day! Come out to Beech Creek for a family-friendly afternoon of volunteering - there will be projects for all-ages throughout the grounds. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves if you have them, and plan to get dirty! No RSVP needed.

Summer Adventure Day Camp - Camp Assistant

Feel like a kid again! Join us and support the staff from our Education Department as they host summer adventures throughout Beech Creek. Each week will have a different focus and new activities for campers.

Golf Cart Driver
Daily Drivers through September
Do You like driving Golf Carts ? Do you like helping people ? Do you like being outside? Then we have a great volunteer opportunity for you shifts are 10am—1pm or 1pm—4pm Monday—Saturday, Sunday shift needed 12—2:30pm or 2:30—5:00pm
