Join in the celebration of Citizen Science Month by learning to use two of our favorite apps while enjoy a refreshing hike! Workshops for adults & families will be held Wednesday evenings, April 7-21 from 5:30-7:30 pm.

 

Each class will begin in the Creekside Center for Water Sciences while we review some basics about the respective app, and then we'll head out for relaxing walk/hike on one of our woodland trails. Masks are required while indoors.

The parent/child team classes will include a guided walk on Spicebush Trail, which is 1/2 mile round trip and easy difficulty. The adult classes will include an easy to moderate walk/hike, 1/2 mile to 1 mile, depending on the group's preference.

 

• Registration is required.

• Each class is limited to 10 adults.

• In the parent/child sessions, please only reserve tickets for adults & each parent may bring one or two children.

• Register online, by phone, or in-person at our Visitor Center.

Both iNaturalist & Globe Observer are free apps that can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android phones. For the best experience during the workshops, please have the relevant app already downloaded onto your phone. You can also create a free iNaturalist account from your computer.
