Volunteers play an essential role in helping Beech Creek thrive, and serve our community. Whether you're passionate about nature, education, conservation, or simply giving back, our Volunteer Program offers meaningful ways to get involved.
As of Spring (April) 2026, we have a NEW, robust Volunteer Program, designed to provide clearer expectations, better communication, and a more rewarding volunteer experience. ​

Leisurely Volunteering
Sign up to volunteer when it’s most convenient for you! Assist Beech Creek with regularly needed, yet simple roles during our operational hours. (Butterfly House Flight Attendant, Cart Driving, Visitor Center Assitant, etc.)

NEW! Specialized Volunteer Teams
Join a team that reports to a specific manager with a set list of responsibilities. Gain insight and experience from our staff experts directly in a specialized focus area. (Will undergo an interview process with our team's managers.) Teams will meet every Thursday & Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm.
VOLUNTEER REWARDS
We recognize that volunteering can be a big time commitment, and we want to reward you for the time you give.
Regular volunteers will have the opportunity to log their hours and earn fun, new rewards and recognitions along the way.
VOLUNTEER ONBOARDING
If interested in becoming a regular volunteer, please complete our (mandatory) online Volunteer Orientation below.
This orientation will introduce you to Beech Creek, explain volunteer expectations, go into further detail on what types of volunteer opportunities we have, and guide you through the steps required before beginning your service.
