Winter Critter Exploration
Have you ever wondered where a frog or a turtle goes in the winter? What about a skunk, opossum, or butterfly?
You can uncover nature's winter secrets with our Exploration Back Pack from the visitor center. In it are supplies you'll need as you hike through the trails and learn about what Ohio animals do in winter. You won't believe how some of our critters brave the cold.
First Energy Foundation Storybook Trail
Thanks to the First Energy Foundation, the story of "Rory: An Orca's Quest for The Northern Lights" is now being added to our story book trails! The story book trails are scenic walking paths where books come to life. As you walk through the gardens you'll see more of the story unfold.

In addition to this new storybook, all visitors receive a free bookmark highlighting lessons learned from reading Rory's story and includes suggested follow-up activities to do in your own backyard.

Thank you First Energy Foundation for sponsoring our new Storybook Trail!
